A fundraising campaign is attempting to give Sparty a new outfit.
The fundraiser is called "Extreme Makeover: Sparty Edition" and its goal is to raise $15,000 to help freshen up Sparty before this fall.
Sparty is the responsibility of the MSU Alumni Association's student organization, The Association of Future Alumni. He is completely funded by donations.
Sparty attends nearly every MSU athletic event. He also makes appearances at private functions, hospitals and elementary schools.
